Message from the President, AIIMS Nagpur

It is with great pride and pleasure that I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the distinguished delegates, eminent faculty, researchers, clinicians, postgraduate students, and industry partners participating in MICROCON 2026.

Microbiology stands at the very foundation of modern medicine, influencing clinical decision-making, public health policy, infection prevention, and biomedical research. At a time when the world continues to confront emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and novel pathogens, the relevance of scientific dialogue and collaborative learning has become more significant than ever. MICROCON 2026 serves as a timely and vital forum to deliberate on these challenges, exchange cutting-edge research, and explore innovative solutions that bridge the gap between laboratory science and clinical practice.

Such academic congregations play a pivotal role in nurturing scientific curiosity, encouraging critical thinking, and inspiring young microbiologists to pursue excellence in research and patient care. The thoughtfully designed scientific program, comprising plenary lectures, symposia, oral and poster presentations, and interactive sessions, promises to enrich knowledge and stimulate meaningful discussions among participants from diverse backgrounds.

AIIMS Nagpur, as an Institute of National Importance, remains steadfast in its mission to promote excellence in medical education, high-quality patient care, and impactful research. We strongly support platforms like MICROCON that foster interdisciplinary collaboration, promote evidence-based practices, and contribute to strengthening healthcare systems at both national and global levels.
